Chris is from Birch River, A small town in the mountains of West Virginia. He has been around music his entire life  Chris was exposed to different styles music, and had interest at a very young age. He began playing drums when he was 12 years old and was playing in a host of different bands at the age of 15.
In 1999 He attended Potomac State College in Keyser,West Virginia with a vocal Scholarship.and majored in music education.

Chris was exposed to Bluegrass, Jazz, and Gospel music at a early age and very influenced  by the music being played around the house. Chris became fascinated with the sound of the dobro."I began playing dobro in 2002,"I just moved to Morgantown (West Virginia) at the time and just got my resonator and I was hooked quick,I couldn't get enough of it and still can't, I love it". Chris has performed on stage and off with artists such as The Dillards from the (Andy Griffith show),(Pinmonkey)Chris Davis(Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time),Randy Kohrs(Dolly Parton),Buddy Griffin(Jim And Jesse),Ernie Thacker,Elizabeth,"lizzy"Long,Phil Ledbetter(Wildfire),Darell Webb(Wildfire),Chris Sexton(Nothing Fancy Bluegrass Band)
